There is no time to talk about addiction when fentanyl is involved.

Education, prevention, and raising awareness about fentanyl’s lethality are critical to empowering families and communities to stop it from reaching our children and neighborhoods.

OUR MISSION

To combat the deadly fentanyl and opioid poisoning epidemic devastating our country, we take a grassroots approach focused on awareness, education, and hands-on support for families who have lost loved ones.

ABOUT US

At My Child's Life Matters, based in Illinois, our journey began with heartbreak and a mission born from unimaginable loss.

Our not-for-profit ministry was founded in response to the tragic death of my son, John M. Allen, on July 26, 2016. John made a choice that day—to get high, not to die. Believing he was using cocaine, he unknowingly consumed fentanyl.

The consequences were devastating: John lost his life. Four days later, on his 23rd birthday, we laid him to rest.

DRUG INDUCED HOMICIDE (720 ILCS 5/9-3.3)

Unlawfully delivering a controlled substance that results in someone's death—whether through injection, inhalation, absorption, or ingestion of any amount of that substance—is a crime that happens far too often.

Drug-induced homicides occur daily, and a single supplier is often linked to multiple deaths. This is what we are determined to stop. Our mission is to hold drug dealers accountable for these tragedies and get them off the streets so no more families have to endure the devastating loss of a loved one.

For more information or to learn about the laws in your state, visit poisoningofamerica.org or contact us. We can connect you to the resources and information you need during this difficult time.
